The Nitrotyrosine ELISA kit is an enzyme immunoassay intended for the quantitative determination of protein-bound nitrotyrosine in human EDTA-plasma, serum and dried blood spots. 

The accumulation of protein bound nitrotyrosine is associated with cardiovascular diseases that are based on inflammatory processes (e. g., atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, diabetic vasculopathy, hypertension, or coronary heart diseases).

A growing number of studies have also associated the accumulation of nitrotyrosine with neurological diseases (Alzheimer´s disease, Parkinson´s disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke). 

Nitrotyrosine is a stable product and might be seen as a correlate of peroxynitrite production, and its accumulation in cells and tissues is a marker of oxidative stress and nitrosative stress, respectively.

The ADMA ELISA kit is intended for the quantitative determination of asymmetric dimethyl-L-arginine (ADMA) in human serum, citrate and EDTA plasma. 

Elevated ADMA concentrations in the blood are found in numerous diseases associated with endothelial dysfunction. For example, elevated ADMA levels in blood of dialysis patients correlate significantly with the degree of arteriosclerosis and cardiovascular risk.

Furthermore, elevated ADMA levels are found in patients with hypercholesterolemia, hypertension, arteriosclerosis, chronic renal failure and chronic heart failure, and are associated with restrictions in endothelial vasodilatation. 

The Anti ox-LDL ELISA kit is an enzyme immunoassay intended for the quantitative determination of ox-LDL antibodies in EDTA-plasma and serum. 

Elevated plasma levels of oxidized LDL are associated with a higher cardiovascular risk and a higher incidence of metabolic diseases, i.e., metabolic syndrome, obesity and type 2 diabetes. Subclinical atherosclerosis, kidney and liver diseases are also associated with elevated levels of oxidized LDL.

The Kynurenine ELISA kit is intended for the quantitative determination of L-kynurenine in human EDTA plasma, serum and dried blood spots.

L-kynurenine plays a key role as an immune suppressor in the course of infectious diseases (HIV, tuberculosis, borreliosis) and malignant diseases (colon cancer, lung cancer, leukemia, Hodgkin lymphoma, cervical cancer), where high kynurenine levels indicate a poor prognosis.

Thus, L-kynurenine serves as a prognostic marker to predict the progression and the severity of the disease.

The Tryptophan ELISA kit is intended for the quantitative determination of L-tryptophan in human EDTA plasma, serum and dried blood spots. 

Tryptophan is an essential amino acid which cannot be synthesized by humans, and therefore must be supplied in diet. It is the only source for synthesizing serotonin.

When tryptophan in plasma decreases, it is not available for serotonin synthesis and the following melatonin production. As a result, fluctuations of mood, aggression, sleep and eating disorder, or depression can occur.
