The EUROArray Lactose Intolerance Direct test system is designed for molecular genetic in vitro determination of the two polymorphisms at positions -13910 (C/T) and -22018 (G/A) in the promoter region of the lactase (LCT) gene. The detection aids diagnosis of primary lactose intolerance. Typical symptoms are abdominal pain, nausea, meteorism and diarrhoea following consumption of lactose-containing products.
